SUNNYVALE, CA - January 31, 2002 - AMD and UMC will hold a joint conference call at 2:30 PM Pacific Standard Time on Thursday, January 31, 2002, for a corporate announcement.
Conference call participants will include: W.J. Sanders III, chairman and chief
executive officer of AMD; Hector de J. Ruiz, president and chief operating
officer of AMD; Robert Tsao, chairman and chief executive officer of UMC; and
John Hsuan, vice chairman of UMC.
