Press Release: VIA Announces December Sales Results of NT$ 2.15 billion

Accumulated year sales up over 10% on 2000.
Taipei, Taiwan, 2nd January 2002 - VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading innovator and developer of core logic chipsets, microprocessors, and multimedia and communications chips, today announced that its net sales for December 2001 were NT$ 2.15 billion (US$ 61.58 million approximately).
Over the year 2001, the accumulated sales revenue total of over NT$ 34.15 billion (US$ 976 million approximately) represents a 10.41% increase in accumulated annual sales revenue compared to net sales in 2000.
“We are very pleased with this result,” commented Richard Brown, Director of Marketing at VIA Technologies, Inc. “The increase of over 10% on last year shows that VIA is still performing strongly despite tough market conditions.”
