FEMMA technology and the Serverworks Grand Champion HE platform make a winning combination.

Wilmington, MA - (November 13, 2001) -
Kentron Technologies (www.kentrontech.com), a leader in the design of advanced memory platforms today unveiled the first low profile, 1.2-inch, non-stacked, 1GB and 512MB DDR DIMM (Dual In-line Memory Module) approved by Serverworks for the Grand Champion HE architecture for Intel based multiprocessor platforms.
Kentron's 1.2-inch, 1GB and 512MB DDR, Registered, ECC memory modules, part numbers KT12872DRN3R and KT6472DRN3R respectively; are the first low profile, non-stacked, high density, low profile memory modules approved on Serverwork's Grand Champion HE platform. Kentron's memory modules are built utilizing the company's patented, non-stacking FEMMA (Foldable Electronic Memory Module Assembly) technology. FEMMA technology and the Serverworks Grand Champion HE platform make a winning combination. Kentron's DDR modules provide high density and low junction temperatures providing system developers with a cost-effective option to improve overall system performance. The Grand Champion HE platform populated with FEMMA DDR memory modules achieve a bandwidth of 6.4GB/sec by operating the DDR memory modules in a four-way interleaved configuration. "The Grand Champion HE accommodates up to sixteen registered PC1600 DIMMs with capacities ranging from 128MB through 2GB per slot, for a system maximum of 32 Gigabytes, four times more than the earlier ServerSet III HE design", said Joseph Capaldo, Product Marketing Manager at Kentron Technologies. The industry continuously demands significant increases in densities as systems and technologies become more complex. Kentron is able to fulfill the demand through its expertise in design while maintaining outstanding quality levels through its diverse memory qualification programs with various industry leaders.

About Kentron Technologies

Founded in 1996, Kentron Technologies specializes in the design, engineering and manufacturing of advanced memory products and platforms to meet the speed and density requirements of high performance systems. With patented memory solutions, Kentron is pioneering new technologies that will lay the foundation for future platforms and networks and solve the memory density and speed issues faced by the Internet server and router marketplace. These memory platforms achieve the highest "per socket" densities in the world without the premium costs that might be expected of such leading edge technology.
